Musings of Rae

This is Rae. Today, I went shopping with my mom for puja. First, I went to get a haircut at Silver Spring and then went shopping at Quest Mall. After shopping, we went to this cafe/restaurant on the ground floor called Q33. It is a really beautifully decorated place. I ordered Nasi Goreng which is basically Indonesian Fried Rice, served with chicken skewers, peanut sauce, and prawn crackers. As soon as I had the first bite, my taste buds started tingling. It was so warm and delicious and whole. The fried rice was really tasty, the skewers were grilled and seasoned perfectly and the peanut sauce gave the dish a very creamy texture. I really loved the dish and I think I learned to appreciate Asian cuisine a whole lot more. Will definitely try Indonesian cuisine again! Anyway, today I had a really great time and am all geared up for the puja! More later…
