POP CULTURE: EP 1: MUSIC- AN ESCAPE FROM REALITY

This is Rae. So, I really love to sing and am passionate about music, in general. So today I thought I would share some of my favourite artists with you all so that you can listen to them as well because they are all absolutely icons! First, is Taylor Swift and I’m sure everyone has heard of her since all her songs are bops. She originally started out with country music, then moved to pop, then dirty bass and finally ballads. Her styles are all so different since every new album she does had a unique concept. This now is a very risky thing to do – completely changing your look, style, music choice but she did it anyway and is killing it. She is really legendary and I really recommend all her songs. My favourites are: Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince, The last Great American Dynasty and End Game. Second, we have Zoe Wees. I discovered her pretty recently and I really love her voice. It’s a combination of breathy and husky and is so unique. She has pop songs and power ballads but is seriously underrated. Her voice is so powerful and has a distinct colour which really conveys her emotions when she sings. I would recommend Girls like Us and Control by her. Third, we have Stray Kids. Now this is a k-pop boy band and they are absolutely rocking it worldwide. They are an 8-member group and have all-rounders- literally all the members excel at dancing, rapping and singing. They are also so humble and genuine and really awesome people. Some of my favourites by them are: Scars, Blueprint, Any and Secret Secret. Next we have another k-pop group: BTS. Now, obviously everyone has heard of this huge global sensation who are like the biggest thing in music right now. They are doing so many collaborations and all their songs top the charts yet they are such funny, real, down-to-earth guys who appreciate even the smallest things. Some of my favourites are Zero O’ Clock, Magic Shop and Lights. The final artist for today is Zara Larsson. She is pretty young but has such a beautiful voice. She can reach such high notes without any difficulty. All her songs are also absolutely incredible! Make sure to check out: Ain’t my Fault, Brand New Day and Never Forget You by her. So, that was all for today. I also love several other artists and listen to their songs but these have recently caught my attention and my ears :). I hope you all will also listen to these songs and I would be glad if you all can recommend some artists to me as well since music is the key to unity and equals peace and happiness.
