Hey everyone,
This is Rae. Today I actually returned to school, but not full time of course. We had some practicals for our 3rd Elective-mine’s Home Science so we had to lug an entire bag full of supplies to school and it was really heavy. I had been really scared and nervous, thinking something would go wrong but I was wrong. I actually had great fun doing all the activities especially the cooking one considering how bad the cake I had made as a test the previous night went lol :). I made a mug cake for the cooking practical and it came out really moist and tasty. I also made a cup of hot chocolate to accompany it. We also had to set a table with some napkins which were pretty easy as well. Making a rangoli was not hard but super messy. After I was done, my hands were stained blue, pink and all sorts of colours imaginable. A rangoli is like a festive decoration where we use coloured sand or coloured powders to make an artwork. It looks really pretty and is made colourful to add that pop of colour to a festival. Our last activity was designing a label which was just designing some logos and names for a particular product. We all finished pretty early so I spent the remaining time, chatting and catching up with my friends. Online school may seem really cool since the teachers aren’t there to scold us but trust me, the nostalgia I felt when going back to school, hanging out with my friends, taking the familiar route home is just on a whole new level. Waking up early in winter is really hard but if you do it, you will see it’s all worth it. I really hope I get to meet all of my friends again and let this pandemic be over so we can go back to those good ol’ days at school :). Stay safe and happy! More later…
